Your MCT Application
Step 1. Preliminary Engineering Evaluation of Component. Based on a short review of the application objectives which include component design & geometry; resin & resin process; part volumes; supply logistics, and the like, a general acknowledgment that the component is a legitimate candidate for the MCT process is made. Step 2. Application Analysis Study (AAS). The AAS is a commissioned engineering study completed to confirm the part's ability to be manufactured via the MCT process. The study includes information relative to budgetary pricing for prototype part supply; in-house production equipment overview; and subcontracted production supply pricing for the component. The AAS also provides input into potential design changes or concessions that may be required for the part to go forward. Step 3. Prototype Part Supply. Includes the design and build of both metal core and plastic molding tools for the subject part and the subsequent manufacture of a limited number of parts enabling the client to evaluate production representative prototypes. Gained also is critical process data which proves valuable in determining production equipment requirements necessary to meet annual production volumes. Step 4. Part Production. Once the component has proven itself to be worthy to go forward into production, CTS offers its clients two alternatives in the supply of such components, they include: Installation of In-house Production Facility or Subcontracted Part Supply Service. Installation of In-house Production Facility: Coretech will undertake the role of Prime Contractor to identify, purchase, install, startup and optimize the necessary equipment required to meet your part production. CoreTech will seek to utilize any and all resources the client may make available in completing the task, i.e., available used equipment, etc. Subcontracted Part Supply Service: Alternatiely, CoreTech cane serve as your subcontracted molder using its core, plastic, melt-out and other equipment and resources to supply your parts. CoreTech can also provide various secondary operations to complete your part prior to shipment. Combined, these services permit the client to take full advantage of the added value and other benefits the MCT process provides, without the capital investment into equipment and facilities.
